Grey Beret Association
Grey Beret Association is committed to supporting those who served
Retired members of the armed services face many challenges once they return to civilian life, and those brave men and women who served in Airborne and Special Operations Forces encounter even more unique challenges that the majority of people, military or civilian. This perfect storm of circumstances can lead to critical mental health deficits and diminished social outcomes.
The Grey Beret Association (GBA) is here to help. Created to support Grey Berets – an Airborne and Special Operations Forces community within the U.S. Air Force – the group supports active-duty Grey Berets, veterans, and their families. Because of the special circumstances surrounding special operations service members and veterans, they can’t trust just anyone to run this valuable resource.
JR, a GBA representative, worked with ClubExpress to move the organization’s operations from Wordpress to a platform that was secure and entirely owned by the organization themselves. GBA had used Wordpress and Facebook and was not comfortable with the possible security issues presented by these platforms. JR says the ability to filter what is publicly viewable is a big help in keeping the group and its members safe.
Like many organizations, GBA is volunteer run, and the ClubExpress platform makes it easy for leadership to maintain the website and administer the group without extensive technical abilities. The financial reports also provide significant time savings.

Veterans, active duty members, and families can find themselves feeling very alone and isolated and often unable to reach out for help. GBA and its membership provides outreach and assistance for these individuals, from people who understand exactly what they’ve experienced.
“It’s a lifeline for fellow veterans,” JR says.
GBA has also found ClubExpress to be an incredible value and has recommended the platform to similar organizations. While the group hasn’t explored all of the features of the platform, leaders and members have found it really easy to use.
“It’s been a great experience from the start,” JR says.
